InLight spins out Luminous Medical

Luminous Medical was created in 2005 to address the unmet clinical demand for tight glycemic control in the critically ill.

InLight Solutions researches and develops sensor-based measurement systems for life science applications.  We commercialize product applications with our development partners who are marketing, sales, and distribution leaders.

InLight began as Rio Grande Medical Technologies (RGMT) in 1993 with the vision that people with diabetes could better manage their health with noninvasive glucose measurement systems. Working with Sandia National Laboratories and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the founders brought together the people, technology, and corporate partnership needed to make the vision reality.

In the fall of 2001, RGMT renamed itself InLight Solutions to better reflect the Company’s ability to address both medical and non-medical noninvasive measurement problems with its enabling technology platform.

Today, InLight is a world leader in developing light measurement systems for life science applications. The Company enjoys a multi-year research partnership with Johnson & Johnson, a Fortune 500 healthcare company.
